New Mobil 1 filter is made under the Highline Warren umbrella ... made in Vietnam or China so far, so maybe at the same factories as what PGI uses - a few threads about that already. HW and PGI have no association from what I can find.

Catching some crud for sure, filter looks good. Looks like Valvoline Restore and Protect would be worth considering though.

The ones I saw at my local Walmart were made in either South Korea or Vietnam.

OP's is built by M+H. But yes, Some of the new Mobil 1 filters are now coming into Walmart stores built in Vietnam & SK under HW as the "middle man". I inspected a few the other day & they look good. My comment was in regards to not knowing which model numbers are actually going to change over to HW. That has yet to be seen but perhaps someone may now if OP's model number has indeed changed to the new one or not.

I think all Mobil 1 filters will eventually switch over to Highline Warren. That's why they are now shown as the sole company for any Mobil 1 filter warranty claims.
