Mobil 1 0w30 and wix 57055
Wavy pleats = water in oil. Did the vehicle operate across a Winter with sub freezing temps?

Why 0W30?

Wife's new Impreza is making tons of racket after the recent oil change 1200 miles ago. I am going to change out the filter. It has an Fram Ultra, might be the new one without the wire back thick synthetic media.. Going for a low efficiency unit see if it gets quieter.. The Engine may be disassembling itself. Car was pretty quiet on the Wix XP and 0W20 Valvoline

Cars doing just fine on 0w30. Had it in the garage and used it. The Engine Thankfully didn’t explode. 😂

Hecho en Mexico
Yup I thought it was.. there's someone on here (I forget who it is) that has a whole stash of the older us-made and his pictures of them are excellent.. unfortunately that ship has sailed and can't get them anymore. Only the mexican ones are current.

I'm glad you showed everyone what the Bosch has turned into. I'm glad it held together long enough for you! That you don't have any damage, lucky! Guess it's time to find another brand this low quality stuff is getting ridiculous lately.

I have the Hengst H345W in there now. I will cut it open in September. Stay tuned.

This is why I’m going Hyundai OEM from now on. I can’t trust these aftermarket companies to keep standards.

Cut open the oil filter and look for evidence.
I replaced the Fram Ultra gen2 with with a Supertech MP7317. These filters look like a Fram base with a champ E-core.
The USA Subaru service parts looks similar but with nitrile ADBV, where the MP is a silicone rubber part.

After the swap with a warm startup, there was no lifter or chain or rod bearing noise, But oil was not killer hot like it was on the long (1.5 hours) trip where it was acting up.

And yet again (!?) The fancy Fram gasket stuck to the filter mounting boss. This after only 1200 miles in service.
