Have you guys found one that works well? Main requirement is that it needs to support 5 GHz range and offer decent stable throughput under Windows.

The reviews for all of them on Amazon are all over the place, and the ones with good reviews are supposedly all doctored (according to Fake Spot).

Thanks!

5 Ghz is faster but does not go through buildings as well.

You may find that the USB end holds you back and the 5 Ghz is no faster than a 2.4 Ghz. Depends upon the USB connector? USB 3?

Look for models supporting AC1900. As far as I know, that's the fastest you can get over USB right now.

I have a bunch of Alfa AWUS1900s that I use with Linux and they work great. Not sure how well they work on Windows.

It does not need to go through buildings or walls in my case.

USB 3.

I am trying to stay away from 2.4 Ghz range because it's heavily congested here.
