USA made PTO wood chippers on sale

Pretty niche product, but figured someone might be interested. We have a lot of property clearing to do and had been looking for a chipper to go on my L4701. Had been looking at the WM-8H (made in China), but its out of stock and found this link that has their Made in USA version (MX-8800) for $890 off. Still an expensive implement, but think we will get a lot of use out of it.

I guess as long as its kept in good shape, stored inside, it will be worth that much or more when you are done with it.

For me, owning this type of machine would only make sense if you have some very particular needs, one being the convenience to always have it on hand for immediate use. You can rent better chippers for $170 to $270 for a full day. Stack the wood/brush for 3 to 6 months, then rent the chipper for a day and go at it. Agreed. We've got 100 acres of woods and just trail maintenance/creation creates a huge mess that I'm hoping the chipper will take care of. We've tried hauling all the debris to a central spot to collect/burn and its a pain, and we have to then stare at the pile till we get around to it. I'm hoping we can just chip as we go and keep everything looking nice and not have tons of stuff on the ground to trip over. We also just had a large spot cleared for a shop and tree clean up is also on our current to do list.. We'll see how much we use it.. Unfortunately its hard for me to find the time to tractor as much as I'd like in the first place.
