Upload paused, waiting for wifi connection to upload.

I took 5 photos with my phone, then proceeded to send them to my Google drive so I could email them from my computer later. When I get home the phone has a note saying, Upload paused, waiting for wifi connection to upload. Why does it need a wifi connection? Why can't it use my data plan?

It's a setting you can change in the google drive or google photos app

Check your settings in the app and make sure you don't have "Transfer files only over Wi-Fi" toggled on.

This was it. Why didn't it prompt me to send them through data instead of waiting for wifi?

My phone didn't prompt me to put pants on before leaving the house this morning. That could have been really embarassing if I hadn't caught it.

It didn't ask you because it's the default setting until you go in and change it, and most users hate notifications like the one you want...
