Putting vinyl upholstery material on the door cards of my Roadster. Tested 3m yellow weather strip adhesive and no good. 3M Super 77 works great for the main part but the upper rails are smaller and spraying is going to be too messy. Material is Spradling Softside Marine Vinyl fabric, pretty sure the base plastics are ABS.
They only get glued on the backside edges.
Any suggestions for a good contact adhesive?

Contact cement glue gets placed on BOTH sides. The back of the material AND whatever it's being mounted on.
Yes, meant back side of card.

I just did my headliner. The 1st attempt was a fail, partially because of my application, partially because I used Super 77 adhesive.
The upholsters in my area in Florida use Weldwood Landau top and trim contact adhesive.
I used that with great success on my 2nd attempt.
The upholsters were doing a lot of upholstery to plastic parts with this material.
Not sure if it will brush well or not. This is spray grade, but maybe you could roll it on to the smaller pieces and spray on to the back of the fabric? Maybe it would be brushable? Spray grade is just thinner I believe, so I would think it should brush and roll O.K. You just want a thin even layer, not big thick wet globs that generally come with brushing applications.
I think they sell aerosol cans of this if you don't have compressor and spray gun. I used a cheap harbor freight gun with compressor.
