UOA using MMO

Notice the names of the posters!

What if you put a negative MMO comment there?

Anyway - the oil is on the thin side "6 quarts oil, 1 qt MMO = 7 quart sump" - what about 4 qts total, 1 MMO + 3 5W-20?

The poster is a member here. The UOA is on this site too I think, along with a few others that are also good. IIRC the suggested max amount of MMO is 20% sump capacity, so in a 4 qt sump a qt would put you over the suggested amount.

Good point about negative comments. I'm sure any company that mfgs a product would pull negative comments about their products, Mobil, Amsoil, Pennzoil, and others, if they had a message board. The smaller the company the faster the negative post would be yanked. At least here we can talk a little more openly.

Thinner side yes, but still very acceptable. There is a 4Runner UOA around here running 5w30(4qts) and 1qt MMO, viscosity was still good. It took me forever to find it last time though.

There are a few very good UOA's with MMO added on this site. In fact I haven't seen a bad one when MMO was added.
