unseasoned unsalted almonds

I put a large bowl of almonds out in the backyard today and in a matter of hours they were all gone.

The squirrels and blue jays took them.

The blue jays are a lot more rambunctious by knocking the bowl around all over the place.

I have to go back out there and set the bowl back upright ever so often.

The squirrels are very polite. They'll stand there and hold one almond in both hands while they eat it.
