Doesn't seem like there is much train talk on the boards but I saw this today and thought this was interesting. I'm a little leery of two giant railroads merging with so few left plus a few local railroads left. I'm surprised as Norfolk Southern has had numerous accidents over the last few years. Add in railroad unions and contracts and it can be a mess. I want to say peak mergers were what the 20's through the 50's?
