Idle curiousity on my part - what are those three devices on the roof?

Couldn't tell if they were cylindrical or not.

Antennas? Solar collectors for heating water?

They face south.

They are cellular antennas. 3G, 4G, 5G, they all look the same.

I believe they started putting 5G in place in 2019.

Cellular HAS been overall much, much better in all but the most rural of places, IMHO..Even the old, not 5G phones just seem to work, IMHO.

Cellular Antennas. Look for them on water towers, tall buildings, etc. in addition to the typical antenna mounts.

And those installs well predate 5G implementation.

5G is smart, they have very many "microsites" with probably hundreds of high capacity antennas where they know people will be.

I know for a fact, at concert venues.

City-wide isn't a stretch..

Here in Colorado if you look close you will see fake trees mixed in with the real ones that are cell towers.
Once spotted they look fake but they do blend in pretty good.

That's not a very tall building to have them, but it may not need to be tall to accommodate the area.

Those things seem like they're on anything ~100ft or taller in my area.

Those are definitely 4G / 5G. A tall location is not necessarily better. You don't want a lot of users in the coverage of one site. Ideally the signal from these antennas will all hit the ground just as it reaches halfway to the next site. The antennas are often intentionally tilted downward.

The phone company pays the building owner rent for use of the space. It can be a lot of money.

Looks like a municipal building or medical facility.

Most likely a Directional cellular antenna similar to:

When cell companies cannot get the coverage they need in a specific sector they will often use a directional antenna to 'fill-in' the coverage.

What you are seeing are the "radomes," a fiberglass covering that protects the actual antenna elements from the weather.

I can attest to that. It's definitely weird seeing "tree cell towers "

I first saw the fake trees about 25 years age and thought who would be fooled by that then after a while they kinds blended in and looked better that a plain antenna.
