I looked deeper online at the service records and in August 2006 at 79,000 miles it got new valve guide seals because it smoked on startup in the morning.

Maybe that's for the hand written numbers under there?

That's what I was thinking, you want to put each lifter back in the same location if you have the head apart, so the Tech marked it with a sharpie.

My dad's 01 Camry did that in the morning as well. He traded it in for another Camry late 2006. The car had 5k oil changes at the dealer. It ran fine other than that.
