Right now at walmart supertech syn is 17 something. But on walmarts website supertech full syn is 13.60 i screen shotted that price and showed a cashier and got it price matched to the online price. Then picked up a motorcraft filter for a few bucks and wala less than $20 syn oil change. From now on im gonna be using that pic i screen shotted at walmart for supertech syn oil.

Here in NoVA the walmart near doe snot do any price matching anymore. But you can still order online for pickup. That and the supertech oil filters are a decent Wix filter.

2$ oil from Autozone and a dealer filter gets me a change for under 15$

My local store is one of the stores that is being tested for no price matching that started this past August, but that excludes Walmart.com. They will price match Walmart.com only.

I can do one better. Over Thanksgiving weekend Walmart put Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 on sale for $19.97 for a jug, I bought 3 jugs and filled the rebate. Net price of $10.82 for 5qt after tax. I bought a case of 6 Fram Ultras on ebay for $26.20 shipped for free. Total price per oil change: $15.18. Not bad for Fram Ultra and PUP. I thought that was the bottom price . . . then the Autozone oil sale came.

I'm stocked up with Pennzoil Platinum Euro for a net price of $.80 for 5qts. . . . $5.16 oil change anybody?

I don't understand the strong desire to get cheap oil, unless you're hoarding mass quantities which I also I don't understand. All that savings is probably squandered on a couple fast food meals at the end of the day. And then you got people that go apesh1t because they have to replace their battery after 7 years. Oil changes and batteries are just a fraction of a percent when it comes to one's total annual expenditures.

I never understood the desire to pay full price for anything that can be bought CHEAPER. Paying full price, then having to drive and get the oil you need every time you need oil is a true waste of money and your time. Maybe you enjoy paying for batteries, oil changes, and fast food. On this site most want some bang for their buck.,,,

Nothing that a $1-$2 piece of cardboard couldn't cure. Cover it cheap plastic sheeting if you want to reuse it. I do both.

I've been using a 6 ft x 3 ft. piece of 3/16" mahogany that came from my Dad's house years ago. He used that under his mattress for years for better back support. It's probably 50-60 yrs old. Works like a charm for many things while working under the car. It's both flexible and rugged. Light plywood, an old rug piece, can work too.

I saved a big cardboard box that a Laz-y-boy recliner came in, doubled it over, to use to get under my SXS with to service. I will use this for the FX4, wife''s car is too low, the dealer will service that.

Yeah OP! So you plan on using that screen shot even after the sale is over? Being dishonest just to save 3 bux and change? Jeez

Throw some big gravel digging in the back side too! Plywood with some old worn out string rugs on top works good enough.

I knooow. I just spent 9 bucks+ tax (Fram Ultra Synthetic) on an oil filter and 19.99 for the QSUD oil on "roll back" at WM. My point here is analogous to yours in that I just cant understand the need to collect in your garage or close, hoarding average quality oil. I could have cheap on the filter but with all the gluttonous and excessive spending I do on other stuff, it made my decision a LOT easier.
