i have been to 4 different WMs in NH and i dont think i have seen one jug move off new displays...hopefully sopus will dust off cobwebs on their zillions and break out a 10$ rebate...i am buying some for next OC anyways

but no free ferraris, so i am stuck with trusty G5 and focus

It's selling very slowly here. IMO, the $28 price point is a big disadvantage for an oil that's marketed for its cleaning abilities.

Is it $7.50 cleaner than PP? Or $10.00 cleaner than QSUD?

I agree. Cleanliness seems too nebulous a marketing point to justify $28 compared to PP at $20.50.

If they would have marketed it as an extended drain oil, I think things would be taking off more.

No, they don't have the free hat advertisement on the bottles. They have a little label that advertises entering to win the "Ultra Driving Experience." which is a trip to Italy and a Ferrari driving experience.

So you would have the same odds as winning the lotto big.....

Do you sit at walmart all day watching the oil aisle? Also I bet walmart likes to keep their shelves full. It is only 5 dollars more expensive then Pennzoil Platinum is up here, and I do not feel 28 bucks for 5 quarts of oil is expensive. But then I am not cheap and do not mind spending money on my vehicles.

i agree with mozart about ultra being marketed as 15k oil that it might be selling more...edge is being phased out so i dont think super premium oils are real popular now

Edge is being phased out? Where did you find that out? They will be introducing it in 0w20 and 0W30 shortly.

I agree. But I was asking about the phasing out of Edge? Unless WM plans on dropping it, that could be a possibility.

+1 Good point. And the prices for all three at Wally, are the same here. Not ready to jump on the bandwagon for the difference premium.

I dunno what walmarts you goto, but the ones I always see are cleared out of oils that are good brands, or they have one or two jugs left. I rarely see anyone restock the oil shelves while I'm there, I do not think it is that high of a priority, and you cannot say they are out of stock cause you see it in boxes still either behind it or below it.....

then you see some displays or brands that are perfectly lined up and nothing missing...... it would be safe to assume that they are not moving that product. Why would they CONSTANTLY restock one particular kind of oil on the self when they neglect everything else?

Mobil 1 and PP seem to be big movers at walmart.

Agreed. The PU just wasn't moving, while the other stuff had partially vacent shelves. I bet its great oil, but just too much $$$$...

It's not moving here either, IMO $28 is too much, especially when M1 is sitting right next to it for $23.50,the M1 i always see missing jugs so that moves good.
