It seems Nigel Farage is changing his rhetoric. Now he says it was a lie that UK medical system will gain any additional money after leaving EU.

That's true, low European unity is good for Putin.

However, at the same time I don't think he wants to see nationalists replace socialists, and wants to see Europe keep spending on migrants and social programs, rather than defense spending.

Given the global interconnectedness of the banking system, I think that it is accurate to state that the ECB is asserting a level of enforcement authority and ability that it cannot back up. I also doubt that the large commercial banks of Europe will be especially interested in seeing retaliatory moves from those of the UK and their American cousins.
Dire threats from various EU institutions were commonplace in the run-up to the UK referendum. That many of those threats are empty of practical substance upon examination was apparently clear to many in the UK.
However much this British slap in the face may have hurt the EU and its political leaders, I very much doubt that the remaining EU governments will want to start a destructive trade war because of it. That would be adding self-inflicted injury to insult.
 
We swallow the propaganda the mainstream media puts out like a dry sponge sucking up water.

Another great source of unintended humor is the IMF. The IMF often comes up with policy prescriptions for troubled small nations that are so farcical that they could be read as satire.
I mean, why not rob the poor to pay back the rich?
This is also the EU/ECB strategy for Greece and we can see how well that's working.

Really, people just don't like people as much as we pretend. And with 7 billion of us, we're living on top of each other now, and, well, literally smelling each other. This tension "floor" has filled upwards and it doesn't take as much to make us snap as the old days.
