The last project on the Cadillac that's been bugging me more lately is the horn being inoperative. I know I've got power to the horns, they're just dead. The position on the Seville isn't great, they're mounted low and outside the passenger frame rail and get full of crud.
Since they have to be replaced, the only logical move is to perform some sort of an upgrade, right? The factory HI/LO dual note is fine, but in today's day and age most cars sound the same and I've found people less and less likely to notice my horn when it counts most. Enter: The Delco 4-note horn package.
These quad-note horns were installed on most all the big-body luxury GM cars from the late 70's up until the early 90's, and produce an incredibly rich and LOUD sound when wired properly and given enough power. I think I read somewhere that they pull 7.5A each when in use. I plan on using a wiring harness and a relay to handle the 30A load.
I didn't bother taking pictures, they're just automotive horns after all, but here's a nice comparison video with good sound quality:

I hope to be able to get them installed sometime this week, but who knows. All I know is I'm stoked to soon have horns again.
