I changed the transaxle/hydraulic fluid on my 2024 model year TYM T224 today. I am still well under the 50hr initial fluids/filter change TYM specs, but my machine sat unsold mostly outside at a dealer for over a year before I bought it last year. The spin on hydraulic filter also had a dent in it that I discovered after a few days of ownership. The dent bugged me. The drained fluid looked excellent, as did the spin-on filter. The suction strainer had some shavings on it, which seems to be the norm for initial break-in across the board on these machines. I used an OEM TYM replacement filter as I couldn't find an aftermarket x-ref for it. I used Supertech Heavy Duty Tractor & Hydraulic oil as it carries the GL-4 spec TYM recommends. The machine takes 3.5gal of fluid. Easy process. Very close to 3.5 gal drained out. Nothing was on too tight and the drain plugs and strainer all take rubber O-rings, so they're not too tight either. The factory filter was blue underneath the black paint and was slightly painted on. Many new owners struggle badly with the filters being painted in place. You have to remove the left rear wheel to have enough room to pull the suction strainer out.
