I am not poking a stick at you with this comment but this is kind of a pet peeve of mine. People [censored] about the cost of concerts and sporting events and stuff but validate the prices by paying it. In your case; if more people would turn it off because it was unwatchable then they would have to do something about it but you validate it by watching in the same way as my pet peeve example. Every business is in business to maximize their dollar intake folks.
Admittedly, It was a weak moment for me. And I did come to my senses and do something I enjoyed more (actually perusing this site). The Daytona 500 is the only NASCAR race I watch because of the memories I have of camping in the infield of many, much earlier races in the 60's and 70's. And I pointed out that I do understand the commercialism and marketing involved with TV/cable anything. If it wasn't for my bride of many years, I'd get rid of cable altogether.
