Two car payments? Anyone?

We always pay cash for used vehicles and pay a large downpayment and pay the rest off in less than a year for new vehicles. We currently have an 03 Ford Ranger pickup and an 03 Subaru Forester which we bought new and paid each off within 10 months. We don't even have a mortgage payment anymore, since we made the last mortgage payment last May. In fact we don't owe ANYBODY ANYTHING. And does that feel good.

We make a point to stagger our vehicles purchases so that we never owe for 2 at the same time. The last several have been purchased with credit cards and the balance transfered to a zero percent card until paid for, that way we get to keep manufacturer's rebate. You can only do that if you take care of your credit.

3 trucks, 1 motorcycle, no payments.

I had 2 pymts going when I first bought my 2001 Dodge p/u and the wife had her 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Eats up a lot of money. The 2 car payments were about as much as the house pymt.

No payments here and I'd like to keep it that way. By not buying new vehicles we save hundreds per month. We have 3 cars.

We paid off two cars this year and owe 18k on our 3rd. We will probably cut the 3rd car loan by half this year and hopefull the remainder next year. I hate car loans and regret buying two new vehicles this year. However, the joy in seeing my wife drive her Liberty CRD to/from work each day is well worth the inconvenience of a loan payment...she deserves a new vehicle.

Did have two car payments until last week. Wife payed off my car loan. Now just the $420 a month for the Aztek. Hope, the intake gaskets holds out LOL! If I can I'm never going to have a car payment again. Never get it payed off before something major goes wrong with it (American Quality at it's best). If I have to get into payments again it will probably be a Honda. Had one and never had to do a thing except replace a starter at 120,000 miles.

I am not one for payments either. I own four cars and a truck and have never had a payment for any of them. I despive the idea of payments. I am looking at gettin a new 06 H-D 1200 Sportster this year. And you can all guess why I said later this year. So I can pay cash. That is gonna be a pain for the dealership. ten grand in twenties. LOL! What can I say thats how I save money. I have a can I stash money away in. And I usually put twenty dollars in it at a time. So I am usually never short on twenties. I bought a bought a few weeks ago for 3,500 and the seller was like what up with all the 50's and 20's.

One payment on our Subaru Legacy GT. The loan started last July at $20,000 and now is down to $10,500. We ballooned the $350 per month payment. I hate car payments.
