I cleaned the windshield and then used 0000 steel wool to remove any residue. Cleaned the windshield again. Applied a thin code of Turtle Wax Seal and Shine to the windshield. It dried overnight in the garage. Drove in the mist yesterday. Worked well at first. Then it smeared badly. I'll remove it today.

IMO, paint polish/shine products work well on windshield glass however, they seem to cause this type of hazing when the wipers are in action, that cause poor visibility. Some say that they've used Nu-Finish orange bottle with good success but, I'm not chancing it. I just stay with Rain-X Glass Treatment and I'm happy.

Wrong application for the product. Most of the coatings work fine on side and back windows but fail pretty early on the windshield. I either use Rain-X or one of the glass cleaners that have it built in. I've tried Cerakote and Aquapel but I always just come back to good old rain-X, super cheap and easy to use. A lot of people don't like it as it smears but if you give a very light mist of water it polishes out nicely.

I tried S & S one time on my windows and it was actually very good. Important to use a VERY small amount or it will streak, just like on paint.
