I see a few companies sell small fire extinguishers that look more like an aerosol spray can than a traditional fire extinguisher. Good/Bad?

No prior experience here, but my theory is, if it puts out the fire, its good
Any extinguisher that doesn't satisfy the NFPA fire code (for buildings) isn't really an extinguisher. I'm sure these are better then nothing but I keep a full ABC extinguisher around.
Realistically these sprays are as useful as a good heavy cloth, or a box of baking soda, or a running sink and a cup. They're handy and portable but I wouldn't trust it with my life.
Biggest problem being it lacks any gauge to tell you that the thing is charged or not for starters...

I have a couple of these.
They are in places where my full sized fire extinguishers won't fit.
Like the tiny cabinet above my stove, and next to my shop door.
I have another fire extinguisher in the kitchen, and another 2 in my shop.
But I figure the more at hand, the closer they are when you need one. (Kinda like a firearm.)
They do have expiration dates, and they can't be that great as they are so small, but they are better than nothing.
A LOT better then throwing a cup of water on a grease fire.
(Don't do that! Use something to smother the flames!)

I keep a Tundra in my car, fits right in the driver's side door bottle holder. I've seen them put out some fairly deep seated Class A fires and they work pretty well on grease fires too. Are they a replacement for big, tradition extinguishers? No, but they have their place. SuperDave has the right idea! They're great for places you can't keep a regular extinguisher!
