Trying to resist dry rot

So it is time to replace the tires on my mom's Sebring. The stock Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 have got to be one of the quickest wearing tires out there, 20,060 miles on the car and they've already worn down to 2-3/32. I think I'm going to have her get one of the following three.

BFGoodrich Advantage T/A:

General Alrimax RT:

Hankook Optimo H727:

Beside the low tread level, the tires are already starting to dry rot, small cracks are forming on the sidewall near where the sidewall meets the tread pattern. I'm not surprised by this, the vehicle is in GTMO, Cuba so needless to say it is exposed to very hot and very direct sun year round. So I'm looking to see which of these three you think would be more resistant for the dry rot.

Is there anything I should be looking for in the tires that may resist the UV damage or is there any kind of tire protectant that I can use on the tires to resist breakdown?

I have the last one, the optimo 727's and when I switched from the optimo 424s my ride was noticeably quieter, and the snow performance was excellent, and I noticed an mpg boost of about 1-2 mpg.

Get the Hankooks. I am almost ready to put those exact tires on my CR-V. Highest rated tire on the website where you got those pictures. I bought mine (and am storing them in the basement currently) at the end of June due to a $40 rebate going on at the time.

Never heard of that product, thanks for the suggestion I'll look into it.

I just looked into 303 and all I can say is WOW! It looks very promising based on their site and reviews I've read on BITOG and other sites. I will definitely be giving this product a shot. Almost seems like a product that is too good to be true though so I'm definitely going to judge the product fairly. If it is this good though it could cause a lot more space to become available in my closet.

As far as looking at specifics on a tire though, is there any material I should look for that is more resistant to UV and heat?

I have the BFG Advantages, and I like them. Not sure about UV, though, car is garaged.

I purchased 303 aerospace originally to apply to my weatherstripping to keep it supple and to keep it from cracking. From there I started using it on all exterior plastic, then tires, then all the window seals (eliminates small air leaks at expressway speeds).

Then I tested it on the interior and I will never use another product again for my interior, makes it look BRAND NEW. Not all crazy glossy, no residue, makes plastic fit together better and not rattle/creak, just amazing stuff that cannot be beat.

My friend had a Nissan Sentra with those Bridgestone tires on it and with 95% Highway mileage those tires were bald as a doorknob at just under 25k so they do seem to wear very quickly. My aunt has a Sebring and she put a set of Pirelli P4 tires on it quite a few years ago. It wore out her stock Goodyears very quickly but she has put prob over 50k on her Pirelli P4 tires and still plenty of tread left and no rot. She goes through some nasty winters too and had no issues in the snow so they seem to be a good all around tire with pretty good wear. Tirerack used to rate them very well which is why she bought them prob 6 years ago now. I guess that is something to look into. Nice and quiet too.
