Well ive had this truck for two months now its a 93 chevy 1500 it origanlly came with the 4.3 motor and was replaced with the 5.7 i just recently got a new tgrottle body gor it and installed it well it idles high and i supose thats the timming but when im driving it it acts like their is a major vaccum leak well come to find out the egr valve wasnt connected it just had a blocking plate on it so i installed a new egr valve on it and started driving it didnt work so i bought an obd1 code reader and i came out with a few codes its the tps sensor the map sensor and the iac sensor but i took it to a shop and they said i have the wrong intake manifold on the vehicle thats why i have a bad vacum leak so i buy a stock intake for the 5.7 tbi engine and their the exzact same intakes the serial numbers match everything so eaither that machanic was freakin retarded of this engine block is screwy i dunno i work 55 to 60 hrs a week and only getta work on it when im half asleep and about 1 to 5 am in the morning any ideas!!!

spray some carb cleaner around the intake and throttle body (while its idling , if the idle increases/changes then you have found the leak.

If all those sensors are wonked there could be a bad power supply to them, the computer or wiring harness doesn't match the motor, or the computer is taking a dirt nap.
