In roaming the oil aisle at my local walmart the other day i was reading the back label of the TropArtic oils they had. I noticed on the 10w30 TropArtic Syn-Blend that is was listed as a SM/CF oil (along the top, not in the API donut), yet the 5w30 was only listed as a SM oil (No CF).

I recognize just plain old CF by itself does not do a whole lot for anyone since while it is still valid, its been replaced, but i just found it interesting, especially since on paper the specs for TA 5w30 and 10w30 look so similar.

10W30 is the cold weather spec for Ford PSD engines and ConocoPhillips makes Motorcraft. Might have something to do with it.
