a 5-qt jug of VX 0W-30 was on sale for $24.99 (IIRC), fulfilled by Walmart for Triax. Glad I didn't bite.

I see them advertised on Youtube now. Claiming their oils are military grade.

Interestingly i ordered that exact oil. And what arrived was very different. It now claims 15,000 miles not 20,000. and is only ILSAC GF-6 rated instead of ILSAC-GF 7. The label has changed a lot but still has the old label on amazon claiming 20k intervals or 2 years. Gonna have to get it tested.

What exactly do you expect a VOA to tell you? Can’t tell you what specs it meets. All that’s really proven about Triax is they can’t be trusted.

Good oil is actually inexpensive in the big picture. Cheap oil is never inexpensive over the life of a piece of machinery.
