wondering if it is okay to use Red Line MTL in a transmission that specs Mercon V ATF. Been using GM Synchromesh, but wanted to run a Red Line product if possible. Already tried Red Line D4 ATF, but was thinking I might want something thicker for racing season....

I can only give you our recommendations for my product line. For the TR3650 the recommended fluid is DEXRON III / MERCON Spec ATF, (Texaco). Alternative fluids can be G.M. Yeah, what was wrong with it? Any problems?
While we're on the subject; does anyone know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, if the stuff in the GM bottle is Pennzoil Synchromesh?? For obvious reasons, neither GM nor Pennzoil will admit anything.
