Looking to do a fluid drain/fill on a tremec 6060 manual transmission (GM car). Manual states to use a Dex 3 ATF.

Looking to go with HPL and I think blue atf is the right one. Do I need the Blue or Blue CC (in Texas - coldest it goes is usually 25 deg F)

Any experiences using this on a Tremec MT ? Good choice or am I way off ?

CC is for very northern climates, so I would go with just the regular. It will be more than enough for your climate in TX and mine in PA. Think of the CC as ND, SD, MN and up in Canada worthy.

The blue is equivalent to dex 3 and the better version of it which is tes 668 but I'd rather use none of those 3 unless it had to be driven in bitter low temps where shift quality is very important which isn't Texas unless a transmission struggles in the warm Texas winters and really needs it but you'd have commented about it.

It seems that tremec themselves specify and sell a higher much higher viscosity fluid being something that's 12cst at 100c instead of 7cst at 100c like gm does and I doubt there are any internal differences. I'd look for and use what tremec states to use being a GL 4 75w-85 oil or very similar.

HPL sells differential life fluid in 75w-85 but doesn't state if it's gl4 compatible

They also have manual transmission life fluid but don't have an 85 grade only 75, 80, or 90 but is guaranteed gl4 compatible.
