We've got a newer ProForm 11.0TT treadmill from Costco. I'm not sure what model it cross references to in the ProForm linup, because the 11.0TT appears to be a Costco only model. I'm assuming it's rebadged for Costco. Not positive on that though.
Anyway, we were getting creaking coming from the front left corner when running. Last night I took the cover off the front compartment where the circuit board/motor were to try and pin the creaking noise down. I think I found the squeak, and put some syl-glide on the bushing to see if that helped. So far, so good.
As I was putting it back together, I had a "oh shucks" moment while putting the bushing back in and some of the wires going to the circuit board/motors got pulled out of their connectors. I think I got them all back, and everything works fine except for one thing. When the treadmill is at 15 degree slope, the display reports that it's at 0. And vis versa. I've also run it through the self-calibration routine to no effect.
After a couple tries at self-calibration, I though I would try manually adjusting the screw on the incline motor to see if that might help. I got the treadmill to where the display said it was at 0, but the treadmill was actually at 15 degrees with the incline screw fully extended. I unhooked the incline screw from the frame and manually turned it until it was all the way back in and at in the 0 degree position. I then hooked it back up to the frame, hoping that since the incline motor was in the 0 degree position and the treadmill display thought it was in the 0 degree position that it would work. No dice. Same issue. As soon as it ran a calibration on the incline, it reverted back to being incorrect again. (hopefully that made some sense, it's hard to explain).
Based on that, it feels like a I have a wire backwards or something like that. Does anyone have any insight on how these treadmill incline motors work/are wired, and how I might go about getting the display to correctly indicate the position of the treadmill?
