Got bored and decided to use the TRD oil filter on my 2010 Corolla base with 27 k miles. For those who are interested..
I used a OE Toyota oil filter , they are actually the cheapest option and a decent enough filter. And of course used the TGMO ow-20 oil to go back in. I always have used TGMO oil, and will continue to do so because of todays inflation I noticed I can get the TGMO for almost the same price as any off the shelf oils from my local Walmarts.Looks great. May I ask what oil and filter went back in and on?
Thank You
Nice. TRD cartridges are excellent imo, if a little pricey. I believe the Royal Purple cartridge to be the same. Both made by Champ Labs.
Thanks for pics.
Yes I saw champs makes multiple brands of this same filter. I will try the royal purple sometime soonNice. TRD cartridges are excellent imo, if a little pricey. I believe the Royal Purple cartridge to be the same. Both made by Champ Labs.

I was going to use the Fram ultra on next oil change, but they are skimping on their products again, and no more steel backing anymore. This scares me because I’ve heard too many bad stories about Fram. Seemed they stepped their game up, only to go back down not long after.I like their quality but I stopped using them because their filtration is good but not great (https://bit.ly/3fV9ubs) and I think they're overpriced.
There are better options available like the Fram Ultra.

Shoot that’s a steal compared to me. I paid 21.50 for this, and that’s the online price! When I went inside the stealership before I checked the online price, they wanted to charge me 40 bucks! And I’ve noticed a few of my local stealerships no longer let you check for parts at their location anymore! They literally just stopped doing online orders, I’m assuming so they can charge more for the suckers who don’t priceshop ! Gotta love these stealerships!A local stealership here charge $15.30 for this filter.
I can pick it up so I don't have to pay shipping.

I noticed Corolla’s have the smallest oil filters! But they also have the longest spark plugs I’ve seen! Doesn’t make sense to me lolThat's the cutest little filter I've ever seen!
Thanks
Not much, a label I supposeAnd the difference between Champ and Fram is?

I used TRD oil filters for the 1st 3 years of my RX350 then I went to the regular ones as my mileage is sooo small.Got bored and decided to use the TRD oil filter on my 2010 Corolla base with 27 k miles. For those who are interested..

I have noticed a lot of dealers don’t carry in stock. You might just have to have your local dealer order u one if u can’t find them. Try Amazon too I saw some there as wellI thought you couldn't buy these anymore. They seem to be perpetually out of stock for the 1st gen Scion tC 2AZ-FE.
