TRD Air Filters

I put a drop in replacement TRD cotton guaze filter in my Toyota 4Runner last summer and was wondering if anyone else was running one? I have had one UOA since with good results and will do another in the spring. Does anyone know who makes this air filter?

AFE makes them. Great company and a quality filter IMO. Makes a K&N look like swiss cheese.

This filter fits much tighter than the K&N which it replaced. I must say that I also had good silicon numbers with the K&N but the TRD looks better too.

i put on my 98 vic an AFE MAGNUM FORCE STAGE 1 box and filter...what great quality and alot better reponse....superb quality!!

I just checked the air filter to see how clean or dirity it is and it is still very clean after about 6-7k miles. I thought it might of been somewhat dirty by now.

Yup i have to agree AFE filters are top notch, i have a drop in AFE in my 06 sentra. Performs really good i felt a bit more throttle response and it's still fairly clean after 7k miles. It seems to be a much better built filter vs. k&n, and the oil AFE uses wont damage your maf sensor like k&n's are notorious for doing.

I just put a TRD air filter in my wife's 05 Solara and again it has a tight fit, great quality.
