hi guys, got a 07 yukon, it has a transmission temp gauge, mostly reads at 140-150, just wondering what temp is normal operation temp?

If it's C I think he would have had a problem already.

my chrysler minivan would stay at 120F and below until the van was rolling at least 45 minutes in normal driving. hard hill climbs would quickly climb to 200. normal driving after an hour-- 160-170F, summertime

closer to 120-130F wintertime.

Hmmmm! Is that an AT or MT?
What kind of tranny fluid?

PS: In another forum I'm involved with, someone wants to add a tranny cooler. Our cars don't have a tranny temp gauge so I'm wondering why he thinks he needs a cooler. ???
Now I'm wondering how complicated it would be to add a tranny temp gauge?

That temp is just fine. Many would be envious of it.
But it depends on WHERE it is taken. Pan/sump readings are what you want.

Up to 220F is livable.
