Transmission running hot

i have my 80e running through a trucool 40k and bypassed the radiator. 8600lb truck, 3200RPM triple disc runs about 150-175 in traffic

I wonder if I should have completely bypassed the radiator I just put it and pair with the original

Absolutely do not do this. There is a lot of conjecture on forums that the radiator heats the fluid more often than it cools it, this is completely not true.

Don't do what completely bypass it or add do what I did and add one in pair with the original

yes it may cool the fluid some but on my silverado removing the radiator dropped my temps from 200-220 to 150-170. i left the radiator in the loops of both accords when i added external coolers and they run around 170 instead of 220-250.

So did you completely do away with radiator one or did you disconnect the external one to the radiator Outlet for the transmission fluid are they both still hooked up

radiator is 100% eliminated on my silverado.

comes out of the transmission, through an external spin on filter (Fram FS8a), through my tru-cool 40k and back into the transmission.

you can see the filter in the first photo and the outline of the cooler behind the grill in the second photo (truck to the right lol).

I'd like to see what the ecu sees rather than the what's on the guage first. My 700 runs through the rad then to a BIG cooler. Normal driving is 180, working it is 220.
