Just checking if this is legit or a counterfeit part. I bought a transmission filter on Rockauto labeled as a Motorcraft filter. Then it came in it arrived in a standard USPS mail bag (no motorcraft bag) and the part was stamped Filtran Made in Mexico. I'm a bit suspicious about this one and am thinking of sending this back for a refund.. but wanted to check on its legitimacy. Anyone know if this is a bona-fide part by Motorcraft?

Plot twist: Ford doesn't make filters. What was the part number? I will see what we have in stock at work tomorrow since ours all come from a Ford PDC.

The original filter on my 2006 Chev Trailblazer was an American made filtran. I bought a Baldwin/Hastings, which a Chinese made Filtran.
All the OE/Service part GM filters I've purchased have been Mexican made Filtran since around 2010.
I recall a couple Motorcraft AT filters having the name Filtran on them. I believe your filter is legit.
That should be your part number. I went to our transmission filter bin and snapped some pics. The F6AZ-7A098-A has come in a bag for a while now. Spun it around inside the bag and it also says Filtran. This came direct from Ford's Ontario (Rancho Cucamonga) HVC to us.

Yes. Just arrived in the mail today, in a USPS box. I ordered OE for my Toyota FWD. Filtran filter made in Mexico.
