Transfer case and diff fluid in Santa Fe

I have an 02 Santa Fe with LSD. Hyundai recommends 80W/90 Shell Spirax oil. I was planning on using Mobil 1 75W/90 for both, thought it would be better to go with synthetic. Is this a good substitute, or should I stick with the Shell? Or would you recommend something different altogether?

You can use any gear oil you want.

I'd recommend any synthetic 75w or 80--90wt GL5.

With the LSD, depending on gearoil picked, you might need some LSD additive.

Nothing wrong with Shell products, but M1 75w-90 will be easier to source. I'd just use a synthetic 75w-90.

Thanks for the input. I'll use the Mobil 1. It says it is good for LSD applications, so I shouldn't need any additive.
