I also see the Yokohama Y356. In 185R14, it's got a load range of D. And it's made in Japan.

I would recommend the Goodyear Marathons. We see at our shop that they run out the best on many different applications compared to other "ST" tires. The euro sized tires may work but could be hard to find in some areas.

About balancing trailer tires...

I'm an engineer who believes that everything that rotates should be balanced. The bearings, suspension, and probably tires will live longer if they run smoothly.

Many trailer wheels, like mine, are cheaply made with the center pilot holes punched out somewhere near the true center of the wheel. These cannot be balanced if mounter on the balancing machine with the usual cone in the pilot hole. They must be mounted on the balancer using a lug-centric adapter. (Yes, they'll balance smoothly off center, then when on center on the trailer they're no longer in balance...

)
