Second fillup of the 'Fe last night:

411 Km/35.53 Liters = 8.64 L/100 Km or 32.7 MPG Imp or 27.27 MPG US.

This was mainly commuting to work (20 Km each way) with less traffic and AC use due to cooler temperature. And maybe 20% city driving.

I did 8.77 the first fillup.

Again, this is better than I expected for this kind of driving. But the Ultramar station near me now has new pumps with stickers "May contain up to 10% Ethanol" on them so mileage may take a hit if so.

That is outstanding for a vehicle this size, weight and with this engine size. With those numbers it has about 17% better fuel economy than my 2008, 2.7L V6 AWD w/ 4spd auto. Otherwise essentially the same vehicle.

i have hear many 3.5 v6 2010 hyundai santa fe's have a cold knock noise during the first start of the day...Does yours have it? Let me know..

Returned a week ago from a 5700 km 15 day trip to Florida. Car now has 7300 Km.

Average for the trip was 8.65 l/100 Km or 27.2 MPG US with a best of 7.97/29.5 and a worst of 9.26/25.4 on regular gas.

No issue with engine knocking or whatever except fast idle that is, well, too fast.

I will do the first oil change soon with OEM filter. Dealer in Florida charged $11. for one.
