Are the OEM Denso's a good filter, or should I look torward a purolator or napa when it comes time to change? thanks.
I drive a 91 Toyota 4X4 truck that I bought new. I have many miles on logging roads on this truck. I have had good luck just changing the purolator air filter out once a year. The Toyota OEM filters are good just cost to much for me.quote:

Bad advice. When new it catches all the dirt it is intended to catch. When dirty it is partly clogged, does catch more dirt, and flows less air. When really dirty, dirt is working its way through and coming out the back side.quote:

Stick with the OEM Denso filter. Oil analysis results confirm that they do an excellent job of keeping the dirt out. Also, don't change the filter too often. Beleive it or not, air filters get more efficient at trapping dirt with use.
