After reading about Schaeffers 5W30 im thinking on giving this stuff a try. With amsoil series 3K costing almost $10 a qrt according to their site there is no way im going to keep use it. Great oil but way over priced. How many of you use this stuff in their toyotas? Ive got a 3.4L 2002 Tacoma. Six month oil changes with stock filters is my plan. Stop and go driving with some constant speed freeway driving as well. Thanks.

I had used redline for most of my trucks life with 5K change intervals from 10K-45K with from what i can see were great results then i jumped on the amsoil band waggon and their ASL 5W30 gave me some lifter noise when i started her up in the morning now with the Series 3K no more noise but $10.00 a qrt come on.
I agree with you M1 and Amsoil are moving pricing up so M1 is close to Redline and
Amsoil like Motul.
My guess is Pennzoil Platinum and other newcomer syns will buy market from the high price syns as long as gas prices press some syn users back to ever better dino SM. I'd try Pennzoil Platinum. If you missed their sale, they'll do more this year.

I have used Schaeffers for the last 25k miles or so in my Tundra. No complaints. I don't think you can go wrong. However, when my current stash runs out, I think I am going to move over to the Mobil 7500. This is approx. equivalent blend, cheaper than the Scheaffer's, and you don't have to pay shipping or buy in bulk. Chinee has gotten good results in his Sequoia. Just something to consider.

I'm not making the connection...what does PA have to do with either Redline or Schaeffer's?
I use nothing but Schaeffers in my Tundra with 10,000 mile oil changes. Depending on my driving, that might be six months or might be yearly. My analyses are excellent, and the cost per mile of the oil is hard to beat.

I've been using Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 10W30 in my wife's Toyota Highlander (3.0 liter) for 50,000 miles, and I've had no issues. The great used oil analysis on this oil that have been posted convinced me.
I've have used Schaeffers 5w30,10w30{now my winter grade(thickerer is betterer)}and 15w40 in my Tundra v8.
My price for a case of 5w40 syn shipped to my door was just under $4(last year yet to be used).
And when I do run out of my additive and oil stashes I will go ALL Scheaffers(except ARX).

I would agree with this statement with the SL formula, wich met the A3 specs. Now they look about the same to me. I guess time will tell.
