Toyota OEM oil filters are made by Denso. Here is a link to show a Denso filter diagram which is also the Toyota OEM filter except the silicone ADB. Toyota OEM I believe is actually a little cheaper version than this. I believe Amsoil, Mobil 1, Wix, and PureOne are all better filters than the Toyota/Denso filter. No Silicone ADB valve. The media doesn't have a metal endcap, it is glued together. I had one blow out a couple months back. The side wall of the filter is very very thin. It blew out directly in the side of the filter. I sold all of the filters that I had left. Now I use Amsoil EaO filters. I think they are in the league with Fram. Not great, but they are going to filter your oil. So will a Fram, sort of.


Anyone know if the OEMs have a silicone or nitrile ADB??? I think I'm hearing the signs of a spent ADB on startup with a 6-7mo OCI on my Tacoma.
