What's the best strut/shock/coil spring replacement for my 2017 Corolla , Gabriel or KYB? My backs were done with other ones at 70k and now I have 86 and looking to replace the fronts.
Any help would be great!

Best? OEM, no question. Second best? Probably KYB but some people have reported bum strut mounts included in the strut-plus assemblies. I’d research on some model specific forums for your car or look at the Amazon reviews if you go the KYB route to make sure your model isn’t plagued. I’m personally very happy with the strut plus I put on my Sentra a year ago but I looked ahead of time to see if there were model specific issues.

Are you positive the springs are shot too? The OEM front struts and rear shocks on my '12 Rav4 lasted to 168,000 miles before needing replacement and I kept the stock springs. I used KYB struts and shocks.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure they're bad but looking to keep my front end matching the rear as I had the reara done at 70k, now have 86k so was wondering. I also have this " squeaky noise" going over speed bumps or any turns slowly, was told control arm bushings by Toyota and then wanted me.to pay over 1k for EACH arm while it was just off warranty! Then had a mechanic say it might be the ball joints making the noise so I'm confused about whether to do the arms with the ball joints as a single unit for each side or just one or the other, my Corolla calls for the shocks to be replaced around 80k and the combo strut/shock mount is the easiest which was why I was looking at KYB, couldn't find the OEM w/o paying an arm and leg!

I recently replaced the strut assemblies on my 2006 Aveo. I was in there to replace a control arm with a loose bushing and decided to just replace everything since it has over a quarter million miles. No known problems though except the bumpers were a little compressed. Used Monroe quick struts from RockAuto. About $100 a side delivered. Runs and drives as it should.

It seemed like it was just as cheap to buy the whole assembly than try to reuse the springs.

Thanks!!! My thoughts exactly about the whole assembly also. Appreciate the feedback! I'm new to this site/post so this is all great advice. Glad to have something like this so I know I'm not getting ripped off or taken advantage of when it comes to parts, etc.

Monroe quick struts will make annoying noises in short order. they don't replace the top jounce bumpers

I recall my mom's 2007 Matrix having shot fronts well before the time of replacement in 2018 at around 140k and the left rear was definitely dead by 90k(cupping was occurring by then). I could feel being tossed around like a pinata.

Replaced fronts with KYB Strut Plus and so far so good, although the car certainly looks like it is lowering down, indicating failure in the future.

I replaced only the left rear with a Gabriel. It's probably dying but well, the ride hasn't gone to hell yet nor has the tires. The right rear is still factory original although it should have been changed out given its partner's short life.

Toyota might build lot more "comfy ride" elements into the RAV4 so you can tolerate the failed struts longer than in the basic Corolla.

Quick struts from Monroe are sketchy.
OEM comprises the top 10 of options.
That’s really low mileage to be replacing. No need to match the front.
