Any thoughts as to what the best gear lube type and brand would be for a 1998 Toyota 4Runner? A Toyota service manager recommended 75W90 to improve shifting feel. The vehicle has the 3.4 liter V6 and five speed manual transmission. I would be interested in suggestions for the transmission, transfer case, and differentials. If I purchase this vehicle, I would change all fluids (54,500 miles).

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have an '02 Toyota Tacoma 4WD with a nearly identical drivetrain. I am currently using Redline gear oils and am very happy with them.
You would use 75w-90 in the front and rear diffs. Their MT-90 would probably be a good choice for the trans and transfer case.
