Is there an over sized oil filter for the 2az-fe toyota camry? Or is there a paticular part # oil filter that I should avoid?

Reason I am asking is because I come from a nissan maxima crowd...and our vq35de comes standard with the 15208-65F00...which is TINY...us enthusiasts opt for the 15208-9E000 which is over sized and better construction quality...was wondering if it was the same with toyota camrys?

thanks in advanced!

The Fram PH43 is about a half inch larger in diameter but taller and will fit the threads on most Camry engines if you have the room.

The threads are the same, but the gasket is about 1/3 of an inch larger in diameter. Becareful that it does not leak!

Right you are. Some engines have a wide flat surface for sealing, others, like some GMs, have a fairly narrow band that the gasket must seat on. Eye ball the sealing surface before installing.
