How come you don't hear to much about these winter tires? I know Toyo makes good summer and All Season tires. I just bought some 17 inch wheels for winter for my GTI. I was checking my local Craigslist. I came upon someone selling these in a 225/45/17 size with less then 1000 miles on them. The guy wants $350.00. So that's probably half off I would guess.

The tread pattern looks to be a older design. We don't get much snow up here in Portland. We do see more freezing rain and ice.

The Garit KX is an H-rated, unidirectional winter performance tire for luxury sedans and sports cars. It is designed with Microbit Technology to provide improved snow and superb ice performance.

Features:

High Silica Compound - Enhances wet grip and braking, while maintaining traction in low temperatures.
Microbit Technology In Compound - Walnut shell microbits dig and bite into the ice surface for improved ice traction.
Saw Toothed Blocks - Cut through thin water layer on ice for better performance.
High Density Wavy Sipes - Increase snow traction.
Longitudinal Sipes At Shoulder Blocks - Improve snow and ice traction during cornering.
Five Circumferential Grooves - Help prevent side slip

I have the older version of these tires. Mine have more of a v shaped tread pattern.

I can't say enough good about them. Great bite in the Ice and snow, Quiet(for a snow tire) Never hydroplaned. Seem to wear well.
I can't wait to put them back on for this season.

2 tires are in poor condition. 2 good used snow tires for $350 in a city that never sees real snow..
