Tourist poses for video hanging off the side of a train in Sri Lanka and gets knocked off by a bush, but survives ...

I have heard of people riding on the roofs of trains in South Asia where some have died entering tunnels. But I'm not sure what this idiot was thinking doing this and why nobody stopped her.

I think she lost her 4 points
I think she has to be on the sub-average slope of the Bell curve.
Someone needs to post the old video of the Indian chap on top of electric train.
Remember subway surfing? is that still a thing? Although, I will say there's a difference between taking a calculated risk that takes into account personal skill level, knowing the conditions and what to expect versus taking a blind shot at getting your head knocked off.

Have you seen the sheer amount of stupid that comes from China? That can happen in a place with so many people. And in this case someone who thought she'd do something daring for social media.
Not matter where, half the people are are more or less mentally impaired.

True.

Unknown, but there are USA vids of people car surfing. I hear that is pretty low talent.

The Indian guy one was shocking. Pretty sure carbon skid marks were involved. I wouldn't know how to google it, let alone paste it here. India has many people and lots of loose electric codes.....I mean I would redundant if I said the number is shocking.........so I will say staggering. The wire fell right on the conductor. He staggered and fell on the tracks.

Is that the incident where the guy was hit and electrocuted by a falling wire while standing on the platform with his back to the tracks? He then fell backwards on the tracks with his legs sticking up.

That is not the one I was initially referring to but it is the first DuckDuckGo hit. But that was not low brain power on his part

The one I was thinking of was more like 4-5 years ago. Guy riding on top of train seemingly got full wattage via contact

Many countries have electric trains where AC from the power grid (about 15 kV) is delivered to a moving train via bare wires suspended above the tracks. The locomotive has a device called a pantograph to make contact with the wires and accomodate for varying height.

If they let people ride on top of the train there will be locals selling guide books to where all the bridges and tunnels are.
