Torq Gard Oil

I recently grabbed a bottle of 5w30 Torq Gard oil for my snowblower with a SnowKing engine while at the John Deere dealer. I was in a hurry and didn't pay much attention to it until tonight. When I read the label it was labeled for diesel engines, and API-SL.

So, I'm guessing it isn't a real big deal to be using this. But I am curious as to whether there would be advantages to using a diesel oil (or if there is a difference at all)?

Any thoughts?

It's fine to use in a gas engine.

API SL is a gasoline engine spec. It will work just fine.

Most manufacturer snowblower specs for a fully synthetic oil.

SL is fine.
