Top off choices

In the OP's position, if I had the Chevron Supreme laying around, that's what would go into it.

I'm adding clean oil to used oil. What's the big deal ... None.

Just like on a trip, you top off with what's at hand

Agreed. Over complicating things is why I enjoy this site

For example, on a fill of Maxlife, any Valvoline PCMO would be a close choice as would NAPA or RP PCMO.
There is a case for using monogrades for top-offs, since they have no VIIs that might cause unintended interactions with those in the oil in the sump.
None of these are practical in NYS in winter unless you can find some HD 10.
Good luck with that.
I do use an HD 30 as top-off oil when I don't have a handy quart of the original sump fill to put in, but only in the warmer months.
Buck twenty nine a quart from RK and API SN.

So which would you do:
QS Defy
Or
Pennzoil High Mileage copper bottle
