Are any major tool brands know to share battery compatibility? Tried my google-fu but yet another search laden with AI generated nonsense and non-info articles.
The CAS (cordless battery alliance) is the only cross-brand battery system I'm aware of, but none of the brands seem to have a notable presense in North America with the exception of Metabo.
Bosch has AMPShare. In Europe it seems like there will be a universal battery platform in the near future. I wouldn't hold my breath about the USA going in this direction.
I thought by now that many of the ope brands would look at going with a standard battery. Thankfully I don't have to buy Stihl branded gas and Craftsman branded gas separately.
