I have stuck bleeders on my front calipers, and I was going to apply a little Liquid Wrench to them. Should I worry about the LW getting past the threads and getting into the brake fluid, or would it be too little to worry about?
I use Kroil on my bleeder valves whenever I bleed or flush the system.
Liquid wrench seems to do an excellent job also.
You shouldn't have a problem as you should BLEED out that old fluid first and there shouldn't be any contamination anyway due to the design of the valves.
+1 - no worries on contamination. But I have always replaced stuck bleeders, they often have corrosion and damage to the tapered seats...they're only a few bucks at NAPA...
Use a 6 point socket to break them free -preferably a flank drive.
Then you can use the box wrench to bleed.
Soak them outside and inside the hole. Tap them with a wrench handle.
Do this a few times - maybe even over the course of a few days.
