Because I wanted the phone to be easy to see, since I use it for navigation in that car, I placed mine over the center passenger side vent. I get plenty of cold air.

This is where I have the i-Ottie in 4 vehicles for navigation. Myself and all family likes it as it closer to glance field of view not off to side and down.
