Got this today. Customer states that dr side ac vent does not cool driver. Imagine that. Can't make this up if I tried.

We had a customer a few weeks ago who got their car worked on. I think my shop did an oil change and rotate on it and they called and said they thought their wheels were loose because every time they turn they hear a clunk that wasn’t there before. It got towed back and all the wheels were tight and on properly. We drove it and found it was a big water bottle rolling around in the back and hitting against the sides of the trunk. Then the customer recollected and said oh yeah I wondered where that went I thought I left it here.

I could tell you many more but we’d be here all day and all night lol.

At one shop we had a very attentive customer who complained he would hear a sound every time he closed the door.

We couldn't replicate it and to our bewilderment, until he kept pointing it out. 2 of us service writers were walking around the car with our ears close to like a 3 Stooges skit. One guy went into the back seat and another had his head in the trunk, when we realized that the sound was actually coming from the pressure vent on the inside quarter panel, behind the bumper. These vents allow air out of the vehicle when closing the door quickly. It was the rubber flapper contacting with the vent housing. You really had to listen for it. We told him it's it's a characteristic of the vehicle and not repair related.

About 35 years ago I had one. Customer states that it "sounds like a bowling ball is rolling around in trunk". This was a larger rear wheel drive gm car with a trunk that had a metal floor with ridges so anything that was rolling around would make a lot of racket.

I grabbed the keys and went around the block. Yep something is making a lot of noise in the trunk.

Got back to the shop. Opened the trunk and removed the bowling ball. Noise stopped.
