I'd just stick to the Val Syn Power and up the OCI.
OK, in this motor and me putting around 5 th on it a year, whats a good oci for Val syn ?
Yeah its my weekend truck, i use the cavi for the mile maker DD. Im not sure how good OR SAFE it would make me feel changing the oil every 2 yrs just to get to 10,000mi

LOL
I have some vehicles that don't rack up enough miles to demand multiple changes in a year but I am a once a year regardless of low miles kind of guy. Just makes me feel like it is not getting neglected. I think the oil you are using is great for once a year at 5k.
AGREED. Even if i was using my truck as a daily driver i could never see myself letting Valvoline Synthetic stay in the sump for 10,000 even though im sure there are used oil analysis saying it can. Amsoil,Redline,RP, maybee.. I look at it like this its cheap insurance, and i enjoy changing oil. 5k IS reasonable for my truck.
